Susan Kim

Art and design has always been Susan's passion. Even as a young child, Susan was always dreaming, drawing, creating. She taught herself to draw by borrowing books from the library. It was only natural that she would make this her life long career path.

Susan has a diverse background in jewelry design and product development. She has worked for industry leaders such as such as Tiffany & Co., Diesel Jewelry, Temple St. Clair, and Ippolita, in addition to designing for many other popular brands. Susan's experience in Fashion and Statement Jewelry and manufacturing, has elevated her skill set of drawing, gouache rendering, CAD, RP printing, and manufacturing processes. Currently, she works for a luxury jewelry manufacturer in NYC where she is in charge of design, CAD, and new business development. She wears so many hats she’s been described as the “linchpin”.

In addition to her industry experience, Susan has an extensive background in teaching. She was a professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design teaching advanced jewelry fabrication, design and rendering. She has been an Authorized Rhino Trainer since 2015.

Susan holds a Masters of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in Jewelry and Metals. Prior to matriculating from RISD, Susan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with an emphasis in Metals.
